Brookings police are seeking the public's help in solving the theft of
thousands of dollars worth of wireless phones.
Lt. Derrick Powers says officers responded to an alarm at Verizon
Wireless World in the Brickwood Plaza at 2:22 this morning.
A window had been broken to gain entry to the business. Some 60
phones had been taken with a value of over $30,000.
Powers says similar burglaries were also reported in a couple of
other South Dakota cities although he would not say which ones.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact
them or Crime Stoppers at 692-STOP. Online:
