Annette Bosworth arrested for perjury

Former U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth turns herself into the Minnehaha
County Jail following the issuance of a warrant for her arrest.

Attorney General Marty Jackley issued the warrant for Bosworth this morning. She
turned herself in Wednesday just before noon.

Jackley says he would "issue a release once its appropriate" with the details of
the case, which is based in Hughes County. Bosworth would need to appear in
Hughes County for court.

The warrant was for perjury, a class six felony. She was released on a personal
recognizance bond and walked away from the jail without comment just after noon.

She did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

Bosworth has been accused of claiming to have circulated nominating petitions
for U.S. Senate while she was actually in the Philippines with her husband.
