An Arlington woman pleads guilty to stealing more than
$200,000 dollars from her former employer.

Thirty-two-year-old Sandra Tawzer admitted to aggravated
grand theft.  She took the money over a five-year period while
working for Tri-State Battery Co. of Arlington.

As part of a plea deal, the state is recommending a
suspended 8 year prison term with 5 years on probation
and six months jail time.  That's if she pays at least
$200,000 dollars up front.  She must pay the rest back
within two years.

The exact amount will be determined at a march 15th
restitution hearing.  The state claims it's $314,000 dollars,
Tawzer says it's $255,000.

She handled the books for the company and was fired when
the thefts were discovered last May.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 27th.  Aggravated grand
theft carries a maximum penalty of 15-years in prison and a
fine of $30,000 dollars.
