Brookings police arrest a man for driving under the influence
after he runs over a man's foot at the McDonald's drive-thru.
According to Lt. Derrick Powers, it happened at about 1:40
this morning. A man called police and said his foot had been
run over by a pickup and the driver may have been intoxicated.
He says it happened while he was standing at the drive-thru
window and the truck had even parked on his foot for 5-10
seconds.
An officer located the pickup on the 900 block of 6th St.
After sobriety tests, the 31-year-old Brookings man was
arrested for his third DUI.
The victim did not request medical attention at the scene.
