Brookings police are investigating a report from a young boy that
two people tried to lure him into their car.

Lt. Derrick Powers says it reportedly happened at about 2:00
o'clock Wednesday afternoon as the boy was walking from Camelot
School to the Boys and Girls Club.

The car was parked between the Middle School and the club and the
boy says the passenger tried to get him into the vehicle.  Instead, he
went into the Boys and Girls Club and reported what had happened.

The car is described as a gray or silver four-door, perhaps an older
Honda.  The passenger was a younger male, around high school
age with dark hair. The driver was described as an older male.

Powers says the boy did exactly the right thing.  He says anyone
who may have information can contact Brookings police.
