REDFIELD, S.D. (AP) - A Spink County Sheriff's deputy suffered
minor injuries Sunday in a car-deer accident near Redfield.
The deputy, whose name was not released, was treated at Redfield
Community Hospital for injuries from the broken glass and released.
Chief Deputy LeRoy Fuerst says the deputy was responding to a
call at about 7 p.m. about five miles north of Redfield on U.S.
Highway 281.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
