Henry Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter

CANTON, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man has pleaded guilty to
second-degree manslaughter in the death of another man who
authorities say died after being pushed down a flight of stairs
during a fight.
Prosecutors have dropped charges of marijuana possession
and interference with emergency communications in return for the
manslaughter guilty plea from 31-year-old Terrence Gardner, of
Henry.
Authorities say 46-year-old Asaf Sorum died of head trauma two
days after being shoved down the stairs while fighting Gardner in
Sorum's Hudson home in December 2010.
Gardner faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced
