HISEGA, S.D. (AP) - A 6-year-old boy who wandered from his southwestern South Dakota home with his dog and became lost in the woods was found unharmed about two hours later.
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office says the boy went missing from his home in Hisega on Wednesday morning. The dog returned home alone. Family members searched unsuccessfully for Sebastian Clapper about an hour before alerting authorities.
A search team of state and local officials with dogs found the boy in a forested area about a quarter of a mile from the home, missing a shoe but OK.
