Regents Meeting in Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A panel addressing the issue of student
debt and financial aid are among the many items on the agenda for
South Dakota Board of Regents meeting this week at the South Dakota
School of Mines and Technology.
The Board of Regents begins its executive session Wednesday
night. The board reconvenes for its regular business meeting
Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The board will hear from representatives from
the University of South Dakota, Great Lakes Higher Education
Corporation and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology
will discuss a recent report that shows South Dakota students are
more likely to leave college with loans than graduates in any other
state.
The meeting continues on Friday, when regents are scheduled to
hear reports on student migration and dual credit, among other
things.
