ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota woman accused of striking a
man with a vehicle and killing him more than three years ago has
been found not guilty.
A jury in Aberdeen acquitted 28-year-old Prairie Rose White Buffalo
on both second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter charges.
Defense attorney Melissa Neville says there was no evidence to
support the allegation that White Buffalo injured 33-year-old Corey
Long Chase with a vehicle in April 2008. He died of a head injury.
White Buffalo could have faced life in prison if convicted.
