5/2/14

The South Dakota State University Alumni Association has a new
president and chief executive officer.

She is Andrea “Andi” Fouberg, a former SDSU student body
president.   The appointment becomes effective July 7th.

The 37-year-old Fouberg has worked nine years for U.S. Senator John
Thune, the last five as his communications director.

Fouberg, originally from Letcher, earned bachelor of science degrees in
journalism and mass communications and in political science from SDSU.

Fouberg says she is "thrilled to be returning to Brookings and serving the
alumni of South Dakota State University.”

She was chosen from a pool of 19 qualified candidates in a national
search.

The SDSU Alumni Association represents more than 70,000 living
