The Jacks manhandled Eastern Illinois last week – head coach John Stiegelmeier didn’t expect 400-plus yards rushing. 97631 :30 “the football game”.
Stiegelmeier says successful teams stick to what got them there, and doesn’t expect a lot of tweaks. 97632 :34 “simple a concept”.
The Jacks played in Fargo three weeks ago – Stiegelmeier says there are positives to that situation. 97633 :31 “type of mistakes”.
Stiegelmeier says the Jacks won’t be able to take the crowd out of the game – he expects the fans will be vocal throughout.
NCAA VB…The Fort Wayne women's volleyball team ended the 2012 season with a 11-25, 25-23, 25-22, 13-25, 7-15 loss to No. 18 Iowa State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Mastodons end the year as The Summit League Champions with an overall record of 25-7.

HUSKERS-SOONERS…Nebraska and Oklahoma will renew one of college football's greatest rivalries for two seasons.
The schools say they have signed a contract that will have the Cornhuskers and Sooners play in 2021 in Norman, Okla., and in 2022 in Lincoln, Neb.
Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne said the schools have a tradition of playing "with great intensity on the field, but with a great deal of respect from both sides and among the fan bases."
Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione said it was important to both fan bases to "rekindle a fabled series between two tradition-rich programs."
The teams played 71 straight seasons as members of the Big Six and Big Eight. The game decided the old Big Eight championship 31 times in 36 seasons.
LONG PUTTERS…Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer says the debate over putting with long clubs is far from over.
Langer has been using a long putter he anchors to his chest for 15 years, and the German remains one of the best on the 50-and-older Champions Tour, winning the money list for the fourth time this year. He was perplexed when the U.S. Golf Association and the Royal & Ancient Golf Club announced a new rule that would ban players from anchoring the club to the body.
Langer says if putting is easy with a long putter, 90 percent of the pros and 100 percent of the amateurs should be using it, which isn’t the case.
Langer says there might be a challenge to the rule proposal.
