SDSU MBB… Chad White had 18 points, six rebounds and seven assists off the bench, and South Dakota State rode its long-range shooting to its seventh win in eight games, 94-58 Wednesday over IPFW.
White hit four of South Dakota State's 13 3-pointers, helping coach Scott Nagy get his 300th career victory. Nate Wolters and Brayden Carlson added 17 points apiece for the Jackrabbits (11-4, 3-0 Summit League), and Carlson made five 3s. Tony Fiegen scored 12 points, and Griffan Callahan had 10.
Frank Gaines scored 15 points for the Mastodons (7-5, 1-2), who lost their second straight after a five-game winning streak.
IPFW trailed by just five, 39-34, after a Mario Hines layup with 3:08 left until halftime. But SDSU used a 24-6 run early in the second half to take control of the game. The Jackrabbits dominated inside, outscoring IPFW 34-18 in the paint and 24-8 on second-chance points.
SUMMIT MBB… Jackson Stevenett scored a career-high 26 points, and Southern Utah erased a 10-point deficit in the final 5:28 of regulation and went on to beat South Dakota 81-75 in overtime Wednesday. Ray Jones Jr., who had 16 points and nine assists, missed a layup that would have won it in regulation. Louie Krogman led the Coyotes with 21 points, and Charlie Westbrook scored 20.

Dominique Morrison scored 28 points, including 14 of 15 free throws, to pace Oral Roberts to a 72-65 victory over UMKC. Michael Craion had a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Reggie Chamberlain led the Kangaroos with 17 points. Thomas Staton added 15, and Kirk Korver and Estan Tyler scored 10 apiece.

Taylor Braun scored 21 points and North Dakota State shot a season-best 64.4 percent in a 96-69 rout of Oakland. Lawrence Alexander had 11 points and 10 assists for the Bison, who fired out with an early 17-0 spurt. Mike Felt added 16, TrayVonn Wright 15 and Dylan Hale 12. Reggie Hamilton scored 24 points for the Golden Grizzlies, on a three-game losing streak for the first time since 2008. Travis Bader added 12.

RANGERS HOCKEY NIGHT…The Brookings Rangers hockey night will be held Saturday night at Larson Ice Center. A benefit pancake feed will take place from 7:00-10:30am, and a pork sandwich feed from 4:00-8:00pm.
There will be basket raffles and a silent auction throughout the day, with puck tosses, and on-ice tricycle races scheduled. A drive for the local food pantry is part of the day – the evening culminates with a public fireworks display.
