Weekend of weather extremes

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Many schools in western South Dakota are closed for the day as cleanup continues from a weekend storm that dumped up to 4 feet of snow.

The Monday shutdowns include public schools in Rapid City, Spearfish, Lead and Belle Fourche, as well as Black Hills State University in Spearfish, and South Dakota School of Mines and Western Dakota Tech in Rapid City.
