Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill makes it official -- they are coming to Brookings.
A press release says the new, 5000 square foot restaurant will be built at
Highway 14 and 32nd Avenue starting in the spring. They anticipate opening in
August of this year.
The Brookings restaurant will seat about 190 people inside with another 36
seats on an outdoor patio. It will initially employ about 120 people.
This will be the franchises 14th location and the Brookings restaurant will be
corporately owned. The company says their emphasis is on steaks and
barbeque.
Whiskey Creek will have a full bar, but the release states they are a restaurant
that happens to serve alcohol.
The Brookings City Council on January 11th unanimously awarded a
restaurant-only liquor license to Whiskey Creek. It's the first of these
100-thousand dollar restricted licenses issued in Brookings.
