Contrary to popular blog fodder that you may have read by our illustrious leader, the only good thing in Wisconsin is cheese. The game in question was ugly, I will grant you that. But a "w" is a "w", unless you are talking about George W, which in that case a "w" is a big loser! But I digress.... in any case, if the Vikes could find their offense on a consistent basis and shore up their special teams defense, there would be a lot more people out there saying that the Vikes are a legitimate contender for the playoffs. As it stands now, they probably will make the playoffs, and I will admit that is only because the NFC North is pretty weak right now. (hey, at least we aren't Lions fans!) But the Vikes will have to bring their best game on both sides of the ball if they want to progress deep into the playoffs. And for all of you naysayers out there, the move to put in Gus Ferotte instead of Tavaris Jackson was a brilliant move. Tjack is not the future of the Vikings. Maybe he can go to the Lions when Daunte falls down and goes boom.

A season split with the Packers is okay by me considering it has been a while since the Vikings have beaten them and with the inconsistent play out of the Vikes. Lets just watch with anticipation as the last seven games of the season play out. The weapons are there.

Be kind to Cami, though... she is about the only Packer fan in about a 1 mile radius of the station. And it must be hard being thought of as a cheesehead!

Own the day!

Ok, first of all NO ONE cleared the weather with me. I am NOT ok with this snow fall. So everyone turn up your heaters in your homes and open the windows!

Ok, for all of you readers out there who are a little miffed by my political ramblings yesterday and by the results of last night's historic election, I do have one thing to say: "Nah nah nah nah nah!!"

Seriously, America spoke and it was a resounding voice. Obama's victory was a difinitive one, have being declared the winner by 10pm central last night! Last time around it took a lot longer and the results put us in this hole. But now we have President Obama (who will take office in 77 days) and he will begin the overwhelming task of putting our country back on track.

If you didn't vote, don't complain. If you did vote and your guy lost, remember that you still have a say. That is the great thing about America... you can say pretty much whatever you want without fear of retribution.

Here's to four great years ahead!

Well nearly two years of hard-fought campaigning comes to a close. You can either vote for the McCain/Palin ticket or you can vote for the ticket that will bring about the most positive changes for America. Obama/Biden means real change. I mean, with the first ticket, you have a guy that actually went to elementary school with Yoda (and he is 900 years old!) and a running mate who needs to be outfitted by the RNC. If Yoda's buddy is elected then most likely he will succumb to the elements during his term and the Hockey Mom will take over! Now I am not trying to push my views on any of you loyal readers. Please vote for whom you think is best suited to lead our country. But please, DO get out and vote because it is such an important thing to do and there is so much riding on it.

Obama and Biden or the Muppet and his keeper. The choice is yours... make it the right one.

Hey there everyone... My boss said it correctly, working at Brookings Radio is like living a sitcom. There is craziness at every turn, drama, intrigue, money and of course a true love of Minnesota Vikings Football! The only thing about this one, is that when this sitcom gets crazy or boring, we can't turn the channel!

The DOW is up, gas prices are down and we elect a new president next week! Could it get any better than that? Get out and vote people. You can't complain if you don't vote!
