BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - A National Guard unit from Brookings is
making final preparations for deployment to Iraq.
The 139th Brigade Support Battalion will be activated Thursday.
The unit of 64 soldiers will receive, store and distribute
supplies and equipment during its one-year deployment.
The soldiers will train in Texas before leaving for overseas
duty.
