Noem Tabbed For House Ag Committee

     SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Rep. Kristi Noem said
she's been recommended for a seat on the House Agriculture
Committee that will help write a new farm bill.
     The first-term Republican said she's well suited for the
committee because of her background in farming and ranching.
     The current farm bill expires on Sept. 30.
     Noem's office said the House Republican Steering Committee
approved Noem for the Agriculture Committee and the full House
Republican Conference will ratify the selection soon.
