Three car/motorcycle accidents in 3 days is a concern
for bikers and for law enforcement. There were injury
accidents involving cars and motorcycles in Brookings
on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Brookings Police Chief Jeff Miller says people need to be
extra vigilant during warmer weather by looking and listening
for motorcycles.
Miller says people need to look twice before making a
move with their car or truck. He says more and more people
are riding motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles.
Motorcyclists have to "watch out for the other guy," because
the last thing you want to see is a 4 wheel vehicle crashing
into a 2 wheel vehicle.
Chief Miller says an important tip is to always check your
rear-view mirror, especially on a 4-lane street.
