HARRISBURG, S.D. (AP) - A 36-year-old Canton woman was killed
Friday evening in a crash near Harrisburg.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Stacey Lou Brown was the
first in a line of five vehicles at the intersection of S.D.
Highway 11 and 276th Street.
The patrol says Brian Hoogendoorn of Harrisburg, who was the
last in line, tried to pass the other vehicles and struck Brown's
car as she was making a left turn.
Brown was killed. Hoogendoorn, 28, and a 4-year-old passenger in
Brown's car were taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with minor
injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
