ROSCOE, S.D. (AP) - A half-mile section of Highway 12 that was
closed to raise it above surrounding flood waters is scheduled to
open on Wednesday.
Philip Dwight, area engineer for the South Dakota Department of
Transportation, says that the section east of Roscoe will open Wednesday
morning with one lane and a stop light on the east and west entrances.
Traffic will be allowed onto the half-mile stretch on an
alternating basis.
The DOT says gravel was used to raise the surface three feet.
