RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A former South Dakota sheriff's deputy
has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.
Twenty-seven-year-old William Wray faces up to 60 years in
prison when he's sentenced Aug. 29. Prosecutors have agreed to seek
a total of 35 years behind bars in exchange for the guilty plea.
Wray on Tuesday pleaded guilty to six counts of possessing,
manufacturing and distributing child porn.
The former Pennington County deputy was suspended from duty in
January when the mother of a boy filed a complaint. State crime
agents investigated, and Wray eventually was indicted and fired.
