Reported Break-Ins in Elkton and Brookings

Brookings County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a burglar
alarm shortly before 2:00 o'clock this morning at the Cenex
C-Store in Elkton.

Deputies discovered that a boarded-up window on the
northwest corner of the building had been pried open.
It does not appear anything had been taken.

Meantime, Brookings Police are investigating a break-in
involving a storage shed. It was spotted by an officer
on patrol shortly after 4 o'clock this morning on the 400
block of 3rd Avenue.

The door had been kicked open. The shed was being used
by Dakota Roofing to store equipment. Nothing appears to
be missing.

Both incidents are under investigation. Anyone with
