2 SD Towns Get Flood Loans

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Gov. Dennis Daugaard has approved $5 million
flood loans to Fort Pierre and Dakota Dunes.
State Budget Director Jason Dilges said the two communities need
cash to pay bills related to flood protection on the rising
Missouri River.
The loans carry no interest for 18 months and must be repaid in five
years.
Pierre Mayor Laurie Gill said Pierre did not request a loan
because it is able to pay operating expenses and flood costs with
money on hand.
