More SD Counties Given Flood Disaster Dsesignation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - More than half of South Dakota's
counties are now included in a federal flood disaster declaration.
Officials said Wednesday that Butte, Charles Mix, Clay, Deuel,
Hanson and Hutchinson counties have been added to a disaster
designation issued previously by President Obama.
The president's initial designation on May 13 covered 28
counties.
The 37 counties now on the list are eligible for federal aid to
help cover the cost of repairing spring flood damage to roads,
bridges, culverts and other public infrastructure.
