Guard Unit Heads to Afghanistan Tuesday



     PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota National Guard unit is
scheduled to leave for Afghanistan Tuesday for a one-year overseas
deployment.
     The 187 members of the 200th Engineer Company have been
training since early May at Fort McCoy, Wis.
     The bridge-building unit is based in Pierre with detachments in
Mobridge and Chamberlain.
