Brookings Police are investigating a hit and run car / bike
accident.
It happened about 7:30 Tuesday morning at 8th Street
South and 17th Avenue South.
The bike rider, 21-year-old Ryan Quast, was headed west
on Eighth and says he had a green light at the intersection.
He crossed 17th avenue when his tire was clipped by a
black car.
Quast says the vehicle stopped briefly, then sped away.
He went to the clinic for treatment of scrapes and an
arm injury.
Quast believes the black 4 door was a luxury car --
perhaps a Cadillac or Lexus. He did not get a plate
number.
