This weekend is the 40th Annual Brookings Arts
Festival. The event started in 1972 and is held at
Pioneer Park.
Arts Festival Committee Director Trace Meyer
mentions minor changes for the 40th. He says the
kids play area has been moved to a more shaded
area. He also says there are some 48 new artists
this year.
This year's festival will have over 40 food booths
and more than 200 various artist booths.
Meyer says many will be excited about the music.
The Arts Fesitval attracts over 75,000 people during
the two day event.
Festival hours are Saturday from 10 A.M. till
7 P.M. and Sunday 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
The festival is free to the public.
