SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Strong storms in eastern South Dakota
on Sunday caused street flooding in Aberdeen and heavy damage to
property at Lake Madison.
Mike Connelly with the National Weather Service says that the
storms dropped as much as an inch and a half of rain and packed
winds in excess of 60 mph, leading to tree damage and power
outages in the region.
The winds damaged boats and docks at Lake Madison. Area
residents estimate as many as 100 properties suffered damage.
