SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A man accused of killing a Sioux Falls
hospice nurse in her home and stealing her car is back behind bars
in South Dakota.
Forty-one-year-old James McVay waived his right to an
extradition hearing in Wisconsin's Dane County on Tuesday and was
transported to the South Dakota State Penitentiary on Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, a grand jury indicted him on murder and burglary
charges. He is expected to appear in court next week.
Police allege that McVay stabbed to death 75-year-old Maybelle
Schein on July 2 and then stole her car as part of a scheme to
drive to the nation's capital and kill the president. He was
arrested later the same day in Wisconsin.
