Brookings Police arrest three Flandreau teens after an incident at Hillside
Trailer Court.
Lieutenant Derrick Powers says police were called at about 10:40 a.m.
Wednesday with a report of three people trying to get into a home on the 2100
block of 22nd Avenue. They tried without success to kick in the door and then
crawled in through a window.
The three were seen leaving the trailer carrying something that they left
behind the trailer. They then fled into a nearby field. The resident of the home
did not believe anything was missing.
Police arrived and were able to locate and arrest the teens. A 19-year-old
female has been charged with criminal trespass and underage consumption.
A 19-year-old male is charged with criminal trespass and a 17-year-old male
is facing criminal trespass and drug charges.
The three were taken to jail.
