Police arrest a man for vandalizing trees and flower pots in downtown Brookings.
The call came in shortly after 2:00 o'clock this morning that a man was
damaging landscaping on the 300 block of Main.
Police responded and found a man a short distance away who matched the
description. He admitted to police what he had done and told them he did not
think he'd get into any trouble with law enforcement for doing so.
The dollar amount of the damage done to five trees and 3 flower pots has not
yet been determined.
The 26-year-old Brookings man was charged with intentional damage to property
and taken to jail.
