PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota legislative committee is
continuing a study into whether some additional goods and services
should be subject to the state sales tax.
The panel made some preliminary recommendations in July to look
at whether advertising services, agricultural fertilizer sales and
the sale of farm machinery parts or repair work should lose their
tax exemptions.
The Sales Tax Review Committee will meet in Pierre on Tuesday
and Wednesday to hear public testimony on sales tax exemptions.
