MADISON, S.D. (AP) - The city of Madison has a new fire chief.
City commissioners this week hired Randy Minnaert to serve as chief
of the city's volunteer fire department.
Commissioner Karen Lembcke says the city received more than two
dozen applications for the open position.
Lembcke says Minnaert has 16 years of experience as a
firefighter and has been serving as interim fire chief since Jerry
Johnson's retirement earlier this year.
