HURON, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota State Fair kicked off its
five-day run in Huron on Thursday.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard and U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson were among
those making first-day trips to the fair.
Kyle Weisser at the National Weather Service says the forecast
through Monday looks favorable, with cooler weather moving in and
little chance of severe storms.
About 770,000 people attended last year's fair.
