PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Officials with the state and several
business-related organizations will host a question-and-answer
forum in Pierre about potential assistance for businesses affected
by flooding.
The meeting will be held Wednesday from 2-3:30 p.m. in the
Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce meeting room.
Representatives from the Small Business Administration, the
Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Labor and
Regulation and the Governor's Office of Economic Development will
be on hand to answer questions.
Officials recommend all business owners affected by the flood
should visit the SBA website at SBA.gov/disaster to view available
programs in advance of the Sept. 14 meeting.
Anyone with questions should submit them via e-mail to
BusinessFloodingQuestions(at)state.sd.us.
Local officials in Dakota Dunes, North Sioux City and Yankton
may schedule similar meetings.
