RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The public is invited to attend a
welcome home ceremony for a South Dakota Army National Guard
aviation unit in Rapid City on Saturday.
The ceremony for the South Dakota Army National Guard's
Detachment 3, Company A, 641st Aviation Regiment at the National
Guard Range Road armory will begin at 9 a.m.
Nine Soldiers will be returning home after conducting a
year-long deployment in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn.
The 641st is an aviation unit comprised of pilots and crew
chiefs that move cargo and personnel by air transport.
