PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - State and local authorities are
investigating a case in which several rifle shots were allegedly
fired near a Hutterite colony in southeast South Dakota. The
attorney general's office did not report any injuries in the
incident.
The county sheriff's office and state Division of Criminal
Investigation are trying to identify three males who they say were
in a pickup truck near the Old Elm colony in the early morning
hours of July 31. The three people in their late teens and early
twenties are wanted for questioning, and authorities are asking for
the public's help in identifying them.
The three males apparently were shooting at an abandoned house near the colony. Some people were inside but were not hurt.
