A Brookings man is given a suspended sentence with three-years probation
and 45-days jail time for possession of child pornography.

Twenty-one-year-old Christpher Ragels must also register as a sex offender
while on probation, pay a 500-dollar fine, undergo any recommended treatment
and submit to random searches.

Judge David Gienapp says, based on the pre-sentence investigation and
psycho-sexual exam, he's convinced Ragels will never again be back in
court.

The maximum penalty for possession of child porn is ten-years in prison.
