Three people are hurt in a Tuesday morning rollover accident in
Brookings.
Police Lieutenant Derrick Powers says a minivan driven by 46-year-old
Gwendolyn Burkhalter of Brookings and a car driven by 20-year-old
Kelsey Haley of Brookings collided at the uncontrolled intersection at
Fifth Street and Eleventh Avenue.
Powers says the car hit the back passenger side of the van, spinning
it around and causing it to roll onto its side.
Burkhalter and two children in the van were taken by ambulance to the
Brookings hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
