The City of Brookings has a new Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry.
He is Peter Colson -- the Recreation Program Coordinator for the City of
Brookings since April of 2007
Colson replaces Allyn Frerichs, who retired August 3.
A news release says Colson has more than 25-years of experience in the public
sector, including city and state government.
He was selected from an applicant pool of 39 candidates.
City Manager Jeff Weldon says Colson's professionalism, work ethic, enthusiasm,
and experience will be an asset to the City of Brookings Parks, Recreation and
Forestry Department.
