MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) - Historic preservation officials in
Mitchell are concerned about a state proposal to remove some areas
from current boundaries.
The South Dakota State Historic Preservation Office recently sent a
map of preliminary changes to the Mitchell Historic Preservation
Commission.
Commissioner and local businessman Jeff Logan says the state is
trying to remove too many buildings and sections.
He says there are more opportunities for further input.
