SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A 19-year-old South Dakota man who
pleaded guilty to stabbing his brother with a knife several times
during an argument has been sentenced to five years in prison.
U.S. District Judge Charles Kornmann sentenced Kendall Lee White
Tail Monday to 63 months in jail and three years of supervised
release for the voluntary manslaughter charge.
Prosecutors say Kendall White Tail and his brother, Charles
White Tail, got into an argument in the kitchen of their mother's
house in McLaughlin in April. During the argument, Kendall White
Tail picked up a knife and stabbed his brother several times,
killing him.
White Tail, of McLaughlin, pleaded guilty to the charge in June.
