WANBLEE, S.D. (AP) - Classes were canceled Thursday at Crazy
Horse School in the southwestern South Dakota town of Wanblee
because of a fire the previous night.
Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy Tim Nutley says the fire is believed to have
started in the school's boiler room. He says damage was not
significant, but there was smoke throughout the building and
several school staff members were evacuated.
About 350 students in kindergarten through 12th grade attend the
school on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
