RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department has opened an outdoor campus in Rapid City.
The agency on Thursday held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 32-acre facility that will provide classes and training for a variety of activities, including hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor cooking. Officials say many classes already are booked.
Outdoor Campus West Director Chad Tussing says the project has taken years to complete, and to see it finally finished is an incredible feeling.
