SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Stocks of most crops are down in South
Dakota.
The Agriculture Department says that as of Sept. 1, stocks of
wheat, corn, sorghum, oats and barley all were down over the year.
The only crop that saw an increase was soybeans, up 12 percent to
13.1 million bushels.
Stocks of all types of wheat in South Dakota stood at 95.4
million bushels, down 19 percent from 2010. Corn stocks totaled
65.2 million bushels, down 33 percent.
