A Brookings man is arrested after taking a Bobcat skid steer
for a drunken drive.
It happened shortly before one o'clock Saturday morning. The
21-year-old man drove the Bobcat a few blocks from where it
was parked on Third Street to in front of the police station on
Third Avenue.
The man's description was provided to police -- he was
wearing a t-shirt with a tuxedo design -- and he was found
and arrested.
The man told police he moved the Bobcat because it was
illegally parked.
He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence,
unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and reckless driving.
He had reportedly been driving with a young woman on his
lap.
