MADISON, S.D. (AP) - Three church facilities in Madison were
vandalized over the weekend.
Police also have connected a stolen vehicle to the vandalism.
First Presbyterian Church suffered about $3,000 worth of damage.
Authorities say vandals broke windows and also numerous items
inside the building. The Rev. Sandy Larson calls it "an act of
malicious vandalism."
United Methodist Church had a flower pot broken, and the
church-affiliated St. Thomas School had a playground fence rammed
by the stolen sport utility vehicle.
