MOUNT VERNON, S.D. (AP) - A Huron man is walking across South
Dakota in an effort to raise money for his child's school and
promote physical fitness.
David Kluth has been walking across the state since the end of
September. He started in the Black Hills and headed east.
Kluth says he had sore feet and blisters during his first
week but has persevered.
Kluth recently stopped at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Mount
Vernon to meet with students. He said that after walking alone for
a week, it was nice to be able to interact with the children.
