The Brookings County Sheriff's Department is investigating three cases of windows
being shot out of farm vehicles.
On Friday, a rural Volga resident reported windows shot out of his John Deere backhoe.
It was in a field near the intersection of 217th Street and 463rd Avenue. It had happened
sometime over the past five days. Estimated damage is $1100.
On Sunday, a rural Toronto resident reported a window shot out of his John Deere tractor.
It happened at ten o'clock that night. That happened in a field near 197th Street and 480th
Avenue. Estimated damage is $1000.
On Monday morning, a rural Hendricks resident reported three windows shot out of his
John Deere combine. It had happened sometime the night before in a field near 198th
Street and 483rd Avenue. The damage is estimated at $2500.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact the BrookingsCounty
